High schools didn’t offer “Life 101” where they teach you how to do taxes and pay bills and make resumes and how credit works and explain what in the ever living fuck a mortgage is, because they assumed that with the basic mathematics and research skills they taught you, you’d be able to figure it out on your own by maybe reading some books on it, or perhaps using this really cool resource called the internet. Now, I am in no way someone who would ever dream of defending the American education system, but maybe if you spent less time blogging about how your homework is dumb, you’d be able to figure out this really basic shit.
Ps. They did offer a class that covered just about all of that. It’s called personal finance. You probably didn’t know about it because you where to lazy to read the fucking course catalog.
